How it works

Three steps. The third is where most apps give up.

Plenty of apps will hand you a plan. Far fewer survive contact with an actual shop.

Step 01

Tell it how you eat

Two minutes: your goal, your diet, allergies, and the foods you actually like. Skip a food group and it says so rather than quietly planning around you.

The food

Pick a kitchen. See a day.

The fastest way to know whether a nutrition app is for you is to look at what it would tell you to eat.

Dal, rice and roti thali, a Indian meal

A day of Indian food

Roti, dal and rice as the default, not a substitution. North Indian, South Indian and Bengali staples are all in the library, with vegetarian and Jain diets handled properly.

  • Breakfast

Poha with peanuts and curry leaves

  • Lunch

Rajma, jeera rice and cucumber salad

  • Snack

    Roasted chana and a banana

  • Dinner

Dal tadka, two rotis and bhindi masala

Illustrative of the kind of day the planner builds. Your week is generated from your own goals, diet, allergies and the foods you picked — not from this menu.

What you get

Everything between deciding and eating.

Scan any meal

Photograph what is on your plate and get calories, protein, carbs and fat in seconds. Correct anything that looks off before you log it — it is an estimate, and it says so.

A coach you can argue with

Does tonight’s pizza fit?

Two slices does. Go lighter at lunch — dal and salad — and you are still on target for the week.

A list that adds up

Lock a week and every ingredient merges into one list, grouped by aisle and scaled to your household.

Reports turned into food

Upload a lab report and it becomes dietary guidance. General wellness only — it never diagnoses.

Send it to whoever cooks

Share a locked week as a link. Meals and shopping list only — no macros, no health notes. Revoke it any time.

Installs like an app

Add it to your home screen on Android or iPhone. Full screen, no app store, no download.

Straight answers

What it does not do.

It does not diagnose

Reports become food guidance, never a condition or a treatment plan. Anything clinical belongs with your doctor.

It does not weigh your food

A photo estimate cannot see the oil in a curry. Reliable for patterns and comparisons, not for grams.

It does not sell your data

No advertising, no resale. Delete your account and everything goes, share links included.

FAQ

Questions people ask.

What does Ayunara actually do?

It plans what you eat and keeps track of it. Photograph a meal and it estimates calories, protein, carbohydrate and fat. It builds a weekly plan from your goals, diet and the foods you said you like, and you can lock that week to get a consolidated shopping list scaled to the number of people you cook for. There is also a coach you can ask questions in plain language.

Is Ayunara free?

Yes, entirely free at the moment. There is no card required and no paid tier switched on. Monthly allowances exist to stop runaway costs — meal scans, coach messages, recipes and plan locks each have a generous limit that resets on the first of the month.

Does it understand Indian food?

That is the case it was built for. The food library leads with Indian staples — roti, dal, poha, paratha, idli, rajma, paneer — rather than treating them as additions to a Western template. It also plans Italian, Mexican, Japanese, Thai and Middle Eastern meals, and you pick the cuisines you actually want during setup.

How accurate is scanning a meal from a photo?

It is an estimate, and it should be treated as one. A photograph cannot show how much oil went into a curry or the exact weight of rice on a plate. It is consistently useful for tracking patterns over weeks and for comparing one meal against another; it is not a laboratory measurement, and you can correct any value before logging it.

Can I upload a blood test or health report?

You can, and it translates the values into dietary suggestions — which foods to lean on and which to go easy on. It asks for explicit consent first, tells you the report is sent to an AI provider to be read, and records that consent. It does not diagnose anything, does not name conditions, and does not replace a doctor. You can withdraw consent or delete any report at any time.

Can I share a meal plan with someone else?

Yes. Once a week is locked you can create a public link and send it to a family member or whoever cooks. That page shows the meals, the ingredients and the shopping list only. It deliberately carries no macro targets, no daily totals, no name and nothing derived from a health report, because a link can be forwarded to anyone. You can revoke it at any time and the old link stops working.

Does it work on a phone without an app store?

Yes. Ayunara is a web app you can install to your home screen from the browser on both Android and iPhone, where it opens full screen like any other app. There is a walkthrough in Profile under Account whenever you want it.

What happens to my data?

Your meals, plans and any health reports belong to your account and are visible only to you. Deleting your account removes all of it, including any share links you had created. Ayunara does not sell your data or use it for advertising.
