Char siu rice (barbecue pork rice)
Sticky-sweet barbecued pork slices over steamed rice with greens.

Ingredients
- 150 g Pork tenderloin
- 1 tbsp Hoisin sauce
- ¾ tbsp Soy sauce (reduced salt)
- 1¼ tsp Honey
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 60 g Jasmine rice
- 100 g Pak choi
- ¾ tsp Toasted sesame oil
Method
- Cook the rice in a covered pan with water for 20 minutes.
- Marinate the pork strips with hoisin, soy sauce, honey and garlic for at least 10 minutes.
- Roast or pan-fry the pork for 15 minutes, turning and basting with the marinade, until sticky and cooked through.
- Blanch the bok choy in boiling water for 2 minutes and drain.
- Slice the pork and serve over the rice with the bok choy, drizzled with sesame oil.
