Sichuan dry-fried beef
Crisp-fried strips of beef stir-fried with celery and carrot in a fiery chilli sauce.

Ingredients
- 160 g Sirloin steak
- 90 g Celery
- ¾ carrot Carrots
- 65 g Jasmine rice
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 5 g Ginger
- 1¾ tsp Chilli flakes
- ¾ tbsp Tamari (gluten-free)
- ¾ tbsp Cornflour
- ½ tbsp Sunflower oil
- ¾ tsp Toasted sesame oil
Method
- Cook the rice according to packet instructions.
- Toss the beef in cornflour and fry in the oil for 3-4 minutes until crisp; set aside.
- Stir-fry the celery and carrot for 3 minutes until just tender-crisp.
- Return the beef with garlic, ginger and chilli flakes, and stir-fry for 1 minute.
- Toss through the tamari and sesame oil, and serve over the rice.
