Ingredients
- 55 g Bulgur wheat
- 120 g Lean beef mince (5%)
- ½ onion Onion
- 10 g Pine nuts
- ½ tbsp Olive oil
- 1 tsp Baharat spice mix
- ½ tsp Cinnamon
- ¼ tsp Salt
Method
- Soak the bulgur in hot water for 10 minutes, then drain well and mix with half the beef mince, half the onion and half the baharat to form the kibbeh shell mixture.
- Cook the remaining onion in the oil for 6 minutes, add the remaining beef, baharat and cinnamon, and brown for 6 minutes; stir in the pine nuts.
- Press half the bulgur mixture into an oiled dish, spread the filling over, then top with the remaining bulgur mixture.
- Bake at 190°C for 25-30 minutes until golden, then cut into squares.
