Char siu (Cantonese barbecue pork)
Sticky, caramelised roast pork with a sweet honey-soy glaze, served over rice.

Ingredients
- 180 g Pork tenderloin
- 65 g Jasmine rice
- 1 tbsp Tamari (gluten-free)
- 1¾ tsp Honey
- 1 tsp Chinese five spice
- 2 cloves Garlic
- ½ tbsp Sunflower oil
Method
- Mix the tamari, honey, five-spice, garlic and oil into a marinade, and coat the pork; marinate for at least 15 minutes, or longer if time allows.
- Cook the rice according to packet instructions.
- Roast the pork at 200C for 22-25 minutes, basting with the marinade twice, until sticky and cooked through.
- Rest for 5 minutes, then slice thinly and serve over the rice.
