Galbi-jjim style braised beef
Slow-braised beef in a sweet, garlicky soy sauce with tender carrot and potato.

Ingredients
- 170 g Stewing beef
- ¾ carrot Carrots
- 60 g Potatoes
- 65 g Jasmine rice
- 3 cloves Garlic
- 5 g Ginger
- 1 tbsp Tamari (gluten-free)
- 1½ tsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Toasted sesame oil
- 150 ml Vegetable stock
Method
- Cook the rice according to packet instructions.
- Brown the beef in a splash of oil for 4-5 minutes, then add garlic and ginger for 1 minute.
- Add the tamari, sugar and stock, cover and simmer for 25 minutes.
- Add the carrot and potato and simmer for a further 10 minutes until the beef and vegetables are tender.
- Finish with sesame oil and serve with the rice.
