Ingredients
- 35 g Urad dal
- 150 g Plain yogurt (curd)
- 1¼ tsp Tamarind paste
- ¾ tsp Chaat masala
- ¼ tsp Chilli powder
- ½ tbsp Sunflower oil
- ¼ tsp Salt
- 3 g Coriander
Method
- Soak the urad dal for 3 hours, then grind to a thick, fluffy batter and whip well.
- Drop spoonfuls into hot oil and fry for 3 minutes until golden; drain and soak briefly in warm water, then squeeze gently.
- Whisk the curd with a little salt until smooth, and arrange the soaked dumplings in it.
- Drizzle with tamarind, sprinkle with chaat masala and chilli powder, and finish with coriander.
