Fan tuan (Taiwanese rice roll with tofu)
Sticky rice rolled around marinated tofu, pickled radish and sesame, a vegan grab-and-go breakfast.

Ingredients
- 100 g Sushi rice
- 90 g Firm tofu
- 40 g Radish
- 1¼ tsp Sesame seeds
- ½ tbsp Soy sauce (reduced salt)
- ¼ tbsp Rice vinegar
- ½ tsp Sugar
- ¾ tsp Toasted sesame oil
Method
- Cook the sushi rice and keep warm.
- Pan-fry the tofu slices in a little oil until golden on both sides, then splash with soy sauce.
- Toss the radish slices with rice vinegar and sugar and leave to quick-pickle for 10 minutes.
- Lay warm rice on a cloth, top with tofu, pickled radish and sesame seeds, then roll up tightly into a log and slice.
