Gambari bel dakka (Egyptian shrimp in tomato sauce)
Prawns simmered in a garlicky, chilli-warmed tomato sauce, served over rice.

Ingredients
- 170 g Prawns
- 120 g Chopped tomatoes (tinned)
- ½ onion Onion
- 1 clove Garlic
- 1 tsp Ground coriander
- ¾ tsp Chilli flakes
- ½ tbsp Olive oil
- 55 g Basmati rice
- ¼ tsp Salt
Method
- Warm the oil and cook the onion for 6 minutes until soft. Add the garlic and coriander for 1 minute.
- Stir in the tomatoes and chilli flakes and simmer for 10 minutes until thickened.
- Add the prawns and cook for 3-4 minutes until pink and just cooked through.
- Season with salt and serve over the rice.
